Publishers are dedicating greater resources to growing their branded content business in 2017. The premium branded content industry is expected to grow faster than any other segment in the digital advertising ecosystem. In fact, a revenue opportunity worth $20 billion (USD) is up for grabs with branded content.
Over the past month we shared aggregate trends and a few of the names on the Branded Content 100 list. This new global publisher ranking is based on estimated revenue generated from direct-sold, premium branded content. Publically available financial reports, as well as our insights as a trusted partner to many of the world’s largest publishers, has contributed to building out this list.
Last week we revealed the publishers generating less than $25 million per year from branded content. But who are the branded content giants?
We segmented the ranking into three distinct revenue categories: over $100 million, between $50-100 million, and between $25-50 million.
ˆNote: Across the Branded Content 100 we have aggregated publishers into their highest level parent group (i.e, Disney Media Networks accounts for ABC News and ESPN).
