The Technical Account Manager role at Polar sits at the intersection of business and technology. It requires an even mix of account management and front-end development skills. You will be working directly with technical counterparts at Polar’s clients, managing expectations, executing on projects, providing excellent service and building strong relationships. You will also be developing, testing and troubleshooting solutions for the clients that would require experience with web development and design using HTML/CSS and integrating 3rd party solutions using Javascript. A deep understanding of how websites work and knowledge of common web development tools such as Chrome Web Inspector are key benefits for this role.

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for our customers, and ensure the satisfactory resolution of all support requests by interfacing with Product and Engineering teams.
  • Project Manage the implementation process, from kickoff through launch. Scope, plan and manage progress against the plan – set up weekly meetings, and manage deliverables/milestones, escalate risks and issues, propose solutions.
  • Train Customers on all technical and non-technical aspects of Polar’s platforms and products.
  • Design and develop ad solutions for top-tier media websites using HTML/CSS and Javascript. Test and troubleshoot implementations using common front-end web development tools.
  • Manage multiple integration projects concurrently providing excellent service and building a strong long-term partnership with clients.
  • May require frequent travel between New York, Toronto and other North American cities to meet and interact with customers.


  • A Bachelor’s degree and at least 2-3 years of work experience preferably in a technical and/or customer facing role.
  • High level of comfort with training and supporting clients on a technology platform. Experience with configuring and implementing software applications.
  • Basic knowledge or prior experience of web development and troubleshooting with HTML, CSS and JavaScript is required.
  • Experience and aptitude for web and advertising related technologies and SaaS platforms is a plus.
  • Project management skills: specifically, being able to lay out deliverables and follow-through on hitting them.
  • Understanding of the online advertising industry, preferably from the perspective of a publisher, SSP, or other publisher tech provider.
